I would like to share Insight #56 from my book “The Dangerous Book for CEOs”.
Move in the direction of deep clarity about both what you can and will do as a team and what you can’t and won’t do.
There are four areas to consider:
- What are you, the team, and the organisation passionate about?
- Where can the organisation truly excel or at least, where does it have the potential to excel?
- What’s the relevant opportunity in the marketplace – the demonstrable need that your talent and passion addresses?
- What’s the business model that allows us to serve that need economically?
The area where these overlap, of course, is the Ikigai.
